Book Chair
Licensing & Distribution

A product ready to cross borders

The Book Chair has already travelled to Milan, Paris, New York and Lyon. What it needs now is someone to take it to the local market — as a distributor, an agent, or a licensed manufacturer.

Why this product and not another folding chair

The folding-seat market is mature and commoditised — it competes on price. The Book Chair does not compete there. It creates a different category: reconfigurable space. For an institutional buyer the argument isn't the chair; it's the square metres of storage that go back to generating revenue. That changes both the sales conversation and the margin.

01

A figure nobody can match

53 mm folded. 90 units in less than 1.20 m². Verifiable, easy to demonstrate, and impossible to ignore in a competitive tender.

02

Twenty years of track record, not a launch

Designed in 2006, with a history of international exhibitions and a hospitality-industry award. For a distributor, that lowers the risk of representing an untested novelty.

03

A sustainability story you can substantiate

The pieces cut from the side panels become the seat itself — no material is wasted. In European public and corporate procurement, where ESG criteria are written into tenders, that scores points rather than sounding like a slogan.

04

Revenue beyond the chair

Up to 1.2 m² of printable area per unit and interchangeable seats open up customisation, sponsorship and replacement revenue lines.

Where the Book Chair has been

Partnership models

We work with three formats. Which one fits depends on your channel, volume and the logistics of your territory.

01

Territory distribution

You import, stock and sell in your market. We provide technical material, artwork, specification support and commercial training. Exclusivity terms are discussed case by case.

02

Local manufacturing licence

Production in your country under licence, with specification transfer and quality control. It makes sense where transatlantic freight breaks the price, or where local content is required.

03

Project-specific development

For hotel groups, event operators and architecture practices that want a version developed for a specific project, with its own finish and identity.

What we provide partners

  • Full technical data sheet and specification drawings
  • Artwork files and customisation guidelines
  • Commercial material and high-resolution imagery
  • Support in responding to tenders and bids
  • Direct access to the product's designer

What we look for in a partner

  • Presence in the contract, hospitality, events or healthcare channel
  • Stock and logistics capability in the territory
  • A sales team that can sell specification, not only price
  • Willingness to work with architects and specifiers

Intellectual property and territories

The design is authored by André Luiz Pinto (POKT Design). Registration and protection status varies by territory and is handled individually in each negotiation — talk to us about the status in your market before structuring the operation.

Let's talk about your territory

Tell us which market you operate in, your channel and the volume you estimate. We'll come back with the commercial dossier and the terms possible for your region.
